time will heal all w0undsIn 2007, Singapore produced 558,900 tonnes of food waste, which can fill over 890 Olympic-sized swimming pools. i am one guilty person who contributes. hah. 100tonnes of food waste can power more than 3,000 four-room HDB flats. so, 558,900tonnes of food waste can power close to 16,767,000 four room flats. hmm... anyway, i heard this story on one of the reality show on cable. the power of mindset. a accused was detained by the police. the police wanted to find out from him about the illegal deals the clan was handling, but the accused refused to give any information. the inspector came to question him personally. yet to no avail. then the inspector blind fold the accused with a black cloth, took out a knife, and used the blunt side to slash on the accused throat. he then told the accused. "i've slashed your neck. if you do not seek medical advise in time, you will bleed to death." the accused, being stubborn, still refuse to cooperate. after a few hours, the accused died. the truth was, the inspector did not make any cut on him, neither was he bleeding. it was jus a action the inspector did. but in the accused mind, he thinks he is bleeding. that constant thought in his head "i'm bleeding, i'm dying soon". and eventually he died because his heart stopped pumping, with no medical reason to backup. |
